The Olympic Stadium

The Olympic Stadium was built for the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin. The stadium is the main element of the former "Reichssportfeld", which includes a swimming stadium, a hockey stadium and a riding stadium, additional buildings and playing fields, the "Maifeld" with spectator stands, and the 77m tall Belltower. The stadium was given a modern roof construction in 2004.

The Finals of the 2006 Football World Cup were held in the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
