Schloss Charlottenburg

The oldest part of the Charlottenburg Palace was completed as "Lietzenburg Palace" in 1699. It was renamed in 1705 in honour of Sophie Charlotte, the wife of Frederick I., King in Prussia. During the 18th century, the palace was constantly extended. In WW II, it was severely damaged. The reconstructed Charlottenburg Palace presents rooms of the Prussian Kings refurnished with original interiors.
