Spree Forest

The Spree Forest is a fascinating landscape at the source of the Spree river, in the south-eastern part of the Federal State of Brandenburg. The last ice age left behind about 350 waterways in the Spree plains. Over 12,000 different species of animals and plants can be found in the biosphere reservation Spreewald, which is especially well known for its many stork's nests. During a relaxing boat ride with a traditional Spreewald punt, the beautiful natural waterways can be discovered.
