The Forum Fridericianum - the former Royal Library

The former Royal Library was built 1775-80 and today is the seat of the law school of Humboldt University. The building is part of the group of buildings known as the "Forum Fridericianum" of King Frederick the Great of Prussia. It consists of the former Royal Library, the main building of Humboldt University, the German State Opera, St. Hedwig's Cathedral and also includes the more recent "Altes Palais" and the former Dresdner Bank Headquarters, now Hotel de Rome.
