Alte Nationalgalerie - Old National Gallery

The Old National Gallery on the Museum Island was built 1866-76 according to plans of the architects Friedrich August Stüler and Johann Heinrich Strack. It displays 19th century paintings (among others by Caspar David Friedrich, Anselm Feuerbach, Arnold Böcklin, Auguste Renoir, Edouard Manet, Claude Monet, Adolph von Menzel, Max Liebermann) and classicist sculptures from the 19th century.
