In my capacity as professional tour guide, I guide over 200 tours per year for individual guests and private groups from all over the world, ranging from classical overview tours and thematic historical excursions to short tours for corporate events. This includes guided tours of museums, palaces and memorials, and the presentation of historic photographs and historic audio clips on some of my tours.
I enjoy creating elegant tours and entertaining my audiences. I like telling stories and place importance on correct facts in my tour commentaries.
I am interested in creating dynamic tours and tour commentaries, and in improvisation.
You will find two short video clips with examples of my presenting style here (tour commentary driving through Checkpoint Charlie) and here (presentation in local Berlin dialect, subtitled in English).
I design exclusive tours for the discerning traveller and cultural programmes for student groups as well as for incentives, meetings and conventions, and can hire additional professional tour guides for various languages for bigger events.
When hiring colleagues, I look for authenticity and personality, good language and presentational skills, empathy, sound knowledge and a commitment to excellent quality.
I have also developed an exclusive city treasure hunt format, uniting sightseeing and treasure hunt elements: a guided tour combined with challenging treasure hunt stations, enabling participants to actively explore the city themselves in small competing teams.
Holding official guide licences, I can act as guide for the Pergamon Museum (main halls), the Cecilienhof Palace, Charlottenburg Palace - Old Palace and New Wing, Schönhausen Palace, Marmorpalais, Grunewald Palace, Neue Kammern Palace and Oranienburg Palace, as well as for the Charlottenburg Palace Gardens, the Sanssouci Palace Gardens and "Neuer Garten" in Potsdam.
I am also licensed to act as driver guide for individual guests and small groups of up to eight people.
I am a member of MPI Meeting Professionals International, of the RDA International Coach Tourism Federation e.V., the German Historical Museum Friends' Association (Museumsverein des Deutschen Historischen Museums e.V.) and the Friends of the German Museum of Technology Berlin (Freunde und Förderer des Deutschen Technikmuseums Berlin e.V.)
